Elizabeth Onusko is a poet, painter, and editor. Her first collection, Portrait of the Future with Trapdoor, received the 2015 Bryant-Lisembee Book Prize (Red Paint Hill, 2016). Her poems have appeared or are forthcoming in Bennington Review, Best New Poets 2015, The Believer, Poetry Northwest, Sixth Finch, Washington Square Review, Columbia Poetry Review, Conduit, DIAGRAM, Tupelo Quarterly, and Southern Humanities Review, among others. She has written book reviews for Coldfront and Barrelhouse.
After spending years as a fundraiser for arts and educational organizations, Elizabeth now consults with literary publishers, helping them with strategic planning, fundraising, marketing, branding, submissions, and editorial practices. She holds an MFA in Poetry from Sarah Lawrence College and an MA in English with a Writing Concentration from Fordham University.
